Returns & warranty
The short version of how cancellations, returns and warranty work. The full contractual wording is in the Terms of Sale; if the two ever disagree, the terms win — but they say the same thing.
Changed your mind before we bought your hardware?
Full refund, no questions, no fee. The moment we order your machine (stock) or start your build (custom), we tell you — before that point, cancelling costs nothing.
Cancelling after that, before delivery
We refund everything we can recover: the installation fee in full, plus the hardware price minus any costs we genuinely cannot get back — documented, with receipts, the same way we document the purchase.
The 14-day window (EU/UK consumers, stock machines)
Buying as a consumer in the EU or UK? Stock desk machines carry the statutory 14-day right of withdrawal from delivery. Send it back complete and undamaged — return shipping is on you — and the full price comes back.
Why custom builds are different
Y Towers, the Y Computer line and custom configurations are made to your specification, which the law exempts from the withdrawal right once the build starts. That is exactly why we confirm the complete build with you in writing before anything is assembled or shipped — the decision point comes before the commitment, not after.
Hardware warranty
OEM machines keep the manufacturer's own warranty, passed through unchanged — and we help you invoke it rather than pointing at a hotline. Built-to-order systems carry the stated integrator warranty on the build.
Our install, guaranteed
The software stack we configure carries a 30-day adjustment period after handover, and your benchmark certificate records the measured state of your exact machine on day one — so “it worked at handover” is a documented fact, not a memory.
Something broken on arrival?
Tell us within 3 days of the machine reaching you — customs release counts, not the ship date — with a photo, and we handle it — replacement or repair at our cost, your choice of pace. Write to orders@y.computer; a human answers within one working day.
